Kulturwelten Europa e.V. – a European idea from Berlin and Arad
The story of our organization begins with a musicologist in Berlin who holds private house concerts in her living room. These concerts are performed by highly talented musicians.
An economist from Arad/Romania attends one of these concerts and is deeply impressed by the gifted young performers from Europe.
Both women make a decision to commit themselves long term to supporting young musicians in Europe.
In 2016 with German, Romanian and British friends they founded the organization Kulturwelten Europa e.V. in Berlin
In the sense of a free democratic Europe the Association has the purpose of promoting contact between persons in Germany and other European countries, particularly in the areas of culture, education and the arts (especially painting, music, theater, literature, sculpture, photography, film, dance and philosophy).
The Association is open to the collaboration of persons and organizations in Europe and worldwide, as long as they support the aims of the Association.
The Association is independent of political parties, religious and economic groups, as well as other separate interest groups.
Should the Association be dissolved or if its eligibility for tax-benefits no longer applies, any assets of the Association will be passed to “Musica Reanimata e.V.”, a registered charity promoting the rediscovery of NS-persecuted composers and their works. These assets may only be used for charitable purposes.
Should the charitable benefits of this Association cease to apply, or in the case of its dissolution, the existing assets of the Association will be given to the City of Berlin to be used for charitable purposes.
Our association has been recognized as a charitable organization by the Berlin Corporate Tax Office and is registred with the local district court (Amtsgericht) of Berlin Charlottenburg (VR 34842B).
